PREPPING for the Upcoming Book Launch of...TWIN TAILS of Mason Beach!

JANUARY 31st, 2014 - My PRESCHOOL SPANISH class focusing on body part vocabulary and beginning Spanish fun was delightful. The children loved putting together the large body part puzzle I created for them to assemble together while we played, BUSCAME...(Find Me the...).  

Now to finish my teacher prep for next week's class theme: FELIZ CUMPLEANOS, ARIZONA!  Yes...the state of Arizona has a February 14th birthday and we will celebrate that in our next class, while learning birthday vocabulary in Spanish. 

 

I also have a bunch of book launch prep work to do for my magical children's chapter book adventure, the TWIN TAILS of Mason Beach .  Its 3/25/15 publication date is a-comin'!)...and I'm in the planning stages with ROOK Publishing for several book launch venues here in Arizona's valley of the sun (the Phoenix area)!  Please stay tuned here to find out the details as these events are revealed.

The Publication Date of TWIN TAILS of Mason Beach is set by ROOK Publishing...more details below:

I was just notified this week of the publication date of TWIN TAILS of Mason Beach on March 25, 2015! We've got some proofing to do and some book launches to prepare for! Woo Hoo! I'm one excited children's book author-illustrator!!! Stay tuned...and remember, READING IS FUN!!!

There are a few more openings in each of my PRESCHOOL SPANISH classes for the City of Tempe. If you have a child or grandchild that you would like to begin learning and being exposed to Spanish, this is a great way to go! These classes start a week from today...FRI, January 23rd at 9:00 AM and another at 10:00 AM. We're gonna have fun learning Spanish while we sing, play and learn together basics of language and some fun things in daily life! Check it out online (pages 11 & 12) at:

WHAZZUP with CILLYart @ CILLYart4U with her TWIN TAILS Children's Book Series, Teaching and more in 2015:

Teaching a literacy and Social Studies lesson in my kinder-readiness program today meant reliving HAPPY NEW YEAR with my classroom of 4 & 5 year old students...CRAZY FUN!!! If they slept through the first one at midnight on 1/01/15...they got do experience it for the first time together today!

When this temporary preschool teaching assignment ends, I look forward to coming back to visit them as a guest author to read them the chapters of TWIN TAILS of Mason Beach when it is published for their story times!  I'm waiting on the edge of my seat to hear from my publisher of the official publication and launch date of the first book of this TWIN TAILS series of magically fun children's chapter books !  I look forward to sharing this story through author visits, etc. with many young readers, families, teachers,students, and other passionate readers of children's books!

Until then, I am busy teaching, writing, illustrating, editing stories, creating lesson plans, and enjoying the blessings and opportunities that 2015 is already bringing forth!   Wishing you all a happy, blessed and successful 2015 and beyond!

WHAZZUP with CILLYart and CILLYart4U in last month of 2014? Check it out!

Goodness!  The days have flown by, truly!  Our youngest daughter is now married (Congrats to Bethany & Brandt!) and we enjoyed family in town for this wonderful event and Christmas!  

 

 

Now we are soon to ring in the new year of 2015!  We are looking forward to the release of the TWIN TAILS of Mason Beach soon and the preparation for TWIN TAILS Book 2!

WOW!  The days are flying by and there is so much to do to be ready for our daughter's wedding on DEC 19th, to teach my preschool class for kindergarten readiness, to do for my TWIN TAILSChildren's Chapter Book Series, and more!!!

ROOK Publishing has returned my TWIN TAILS of Mason Beach story and book cover illustrations and await my final author edit of the manuscript to be done of the story.  One more chapter and the epilogue to go and I will send it their way!

 

In the meantime, what a crazy rainy day in Arizona we had! My lil' class of 17 (out of 21 who are normally there) active preschoolers could not go outside for recess and the gym at the school was busy all day with a dental clinic so we did a half hour of music & movement to get our bodies a-movin' and a-groovin' with a Snowman Hokey Pokey, Goin' On A Bear Hunt, Head Shoulders Knees & Toes, Rain is Falling All Around (in regular, fast & slow motion), the Bunny Hop, Holiday CHOO-CHOO Train, and some fun stretching and exercises too.  I came home and sat down to work on my laptop...and woke up 3 hours later!  :oD

Rook Publishing is now requesting my original story illustrations and book cover illustrations to begin prepping for the formatting of the TWIN TAILS of Mason Beach!  

Wedding preparations for my youngest daughter are in full force as their date of December 19th draws near!

Writing the curriuculm and creating learning activities for my Preschool Spanish classes through the City of Tempe is time-consuming, but creatively fun!

Teaching 20+ preschoolers in kindergarten readiness for 6 hours a day,4 days a week is exhausting, yet full of enjoyable learning  moments together!  I've learned to love my lil' students so much in these 2 weeks we've been together!

Exciting, busy times are these!
