On my last illustration for A MAGICAL MAIDEN AND A... I can hardly wait to put it together and present it to literary agents for the publishing process! :o)

Only an illustration and a half to go for this current children's book project!  Then it is down to editing, book layout, final edit...and to enter into the hoped-for-publishing stage!  YAY!  Stay tuned! :o)

Today's creative progress...

I spent the morning working on the Spanish translation of SOOTYcinders...A Cinderella Tale... and now it is time to work on the illustrations of my current fairytale book project!  I can hardly wait to share these with children, families, schools and libraries too!

AUTHOR VISITS to two Utah elementary schools...

I just returned from Utah where I was able to give two author presentations on SOOTYcinders...A Cinderella Tale... while visiting and helping family members who are living there in Utah!  The children and their teachers were amazingly attentive and we had fun together.  I left them with a SOOTYcinders coloring page, a copy of SOOTYcinders...A Cinderella Tale... for their school libraries and had drawings for a free copy of the SOOTYcinders chapter book and coloring book.  I hope this helped to encourage these young students to enjoy reading, creating and writing!  :o)

I am excited that my first official children's book, SOOTYcinders...A Cinderella Tale... will be available through amazon.com within a week and through other booksellers soon.

It is my hope that this lil' Cinderella story will be enjoyed by many students (grades 2-5), children and families for years to come. It is written in an early reader chapter book format that my children and students enjoy!  I hope to just get better and better at this and having so much fun creating!  Check it out soon at amazon.com! :o)

BEOWULF: a creative twist for children project...

The BEOWULF Children's story project is being revamped...hopefully for publication sometime in 2012!!! I am redoing the story illustrations and the author is tweaking the storyline. We hope it will be a story that many children and families will greatly enjoy in the near future! :o)
