JANUARY 31st, 2014 - My PRESCHOOL SPANISH class focusing on body part vocabulary and beginning Spanish fun was delightful. The children loved putting together the large body part puzzle I created for them to assemble together while we played, BUSCAME...(Find Me the...).
Now to finish my teacher prep for next week's class theme: FELIZ CUMPLEANOS, ARIZONA! Yes...the state of Arizona has a February 14th birthday and we will celebrate that in our next class, while learning birthday vocabulary in Spanish.
I also have a bunch of book launch prep work to do for my magical children's chapter book adventure, theTWIN TAILS of Mason Beach . Its 3/25/15 publication date is a-comin'!)...and I'm in the planning stages with ROOK Publishing for several book launch venues here in Arizona's valley of the sun (the Phoenix area)! I was just notified this week of the publication date of TWIN TAILS of
Mason Beach on March 25, 2015! We've got some proofing to do and some
book launches to prepare for! Woo Hoo! I'm one excited children's book
author-illustrator!!! Stay tuned...and remember, READING IS FUN!!!
There are a few more openings in each of my PRESCHOOL SPANISH classes
for the City of Tempe. If you have a child or grandchild that you
would like to begin learning and being exposed to Spanish, this is a
great way to go! These classes start a week from today...FRI, January
23rd at 9:00 AM and another at 10:00 AM. We're gonna have fun learning
Spanish while we sing, play and learn together basics of language and

Teaching a literacy and Social Studies lesson in my kinder-readiness program today meant reliving HAPPY NEW YEAR with my classroom of 4 & 5 year old students...CRAZY FUN!!! If they slept through the first one at midnight on 1/01/15...they got do experience it for the first time together today!
When this temporary preschool teaching assignment ends, I look forward to coming back to visit them as a guest author to read them the chapters of TWIN TAILS of Mason Beach when it is published for their story times! I'm waiting on the edge of my seat to hear from my publisher of the official publication and launch date of the first book of this TWIN TAILS series of magically fun children's chapter books ! I look forward to sharing this story through author visits, etc. with many young readers, families, teachers,students, and other passionate readers of children's books!
Until then, I am busy teaching, writing, illustrating, editing stories, creating lesson plans, and enjoying the blessings and opportunities that 2015 is already bringing forth! Wishing you all a happy, blessed and successful 2015 and beyond!
